Rio del Sol aka “Happy” - 2003 16.2h WB
gelding by 2002 USEF Horse of the Year and
A/O champion Rio Bronco by Rio Grande.
Happy is out of Quick Study (TK/TB) VHSA
Res Champ Broodmare 2004. Currently
showing in 3,4,5 yr hunters at 2’9” and eligible
for pre-green 2009. Honest and
uncomplicated, big step, scopey & great
mover. Usually wins the hack. Good
conformation – was 3rd as a 3yr old at
Upperville and 2nd as a foal at Dressage at
Lexington. Good local show mileage, light
showing at “AA” level, but always in the
ribbons in any company. This horse with lots
of personality would be perfect for junior or
amateur.
