| Barn Manager-Meredith Hutcher |
Meredith Hutcher has been with us
since 2007 as Full time Barn Manager.
She was raised in Short Pump and has
lived in Goochland since 2005.
Meredith currently owns Skippy’s
Candy Money or”Skippy” around the
barn. She is often seen trail riding
western style with her young son, Caleb
riding Mystery.
Meredith is majoring in Equine
Management at J. Sargent Reynolds.

My husband James and I moved to Goochland over
ten years ago, which was the realization of a childhood
dream for me and a welcome change from an urban
lifestyle for James. James, a golfer at heart (and an
occasional trail rider), recognized how important it was
for me to be near my horses. We built a lovely house
and barn on the original 45 acres of the farm and
began boarding horses shortly after we moved in. We
have grown the boarding business over the years and
have recently expanded it to include the 60 acres
adjacent to our original parcel.

I am an avid amateur hunter/jumper
competitor and foxhunter (with Deep
Run Hunt Club), and I have been a
horse owner since age 9. I also enjoy
horse breeding, and have bred, raised
and started several successful show
hunters. James and I have two young
children, Calder and Jack who enjoy
riding their pony, Mystery and also the
donkey, Flora.
